My profession is truly an integral part of who I am. I love being an Orthodontist. Each day is unique and offers both intellectual and personal growth. Meeting new patients, assessing their needs, and ensuring that they will be provided with exceptional care is a daily privilege.
I love meeting new patients and families and learning about their lives. I enjoy the daily interactions with patients and the improvement in both their smile and in themselves at each visit. It is extremely satisfying when the timid young child at an initial orthodontic exam skips up the walkway into the office with a big smile feeling more comfortable and respected with each visit.
Every day in my practice, I am humbled. Parents and patients entrust me with providing exceptional care to their children and to themselves. This trust inspires me every day to continue to improve myself, my team, and my practice so that I can enhance not only someone's smile and dental health, but also their sense of self.
Education and Continued Learning
I attended Boston College and graduated with a BS in Biology in 1985. While at BC I was a Varsity Diver for 4 years. In my junior year of college I did an internship through Tufts Universty Dental School and it was at this time that I decided on a career in dentistry.
After college, I attended Georgetown University School of Dentistry receiving my DDS degree in 1989.
I completed a General Practice Residency at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Manchester, NH, in 1990, broadening my expertise in dentistry. I received my advanced training in Orthodontics at the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, earning a Certificate of Proficiency in Orthodontics and a Master of Science in 1992.
As orthodontics has changed and improved over the years, I have expanded my expertise and range of providing care. I actively engage in continuing education through formal orthodontic meetings like the AAO annual meetings, NESO meetings, and Yankee Dental meetings. Additionally, I participate in in-person courses and online programs, ensuring that I stay at the forefront of the newest technologies and treatment options to provide my patients with the most exceptional and innovative care.

Outside the Office
My immmediate family; myself and my 16-year-old son, live in Duxbury and enjoy all that the town has to offer.
I am an avid runner having run many road races and marathons. I enjoy time at the beach, Duxbury Beach and Shipyard Lane, and am a regular patron of The Duxbury Free Library, having been a past board member of the Friends of the Library. My favorite activity is watching my son play football on the turf or basketball on the court. His love of sports is a joy to watch. I am passionate about giving back to the community, contributing to charitable organizations and actively participating in my church, Holy Family Parish, in Duxbury.
